What a Fall Line-up!

It has been a busy summer and and crazy busy fall for Brian and the Trio.  Brian and the Trio just hosted the 1st inaugural Lakedale Jazz festival on San Juan Island, with proceeds going to the music programs on San Juan Island!  It was a big success!
Now he heads into September with SAM's Art of Jazz series, shows in Sonoma, Sebastopol, San Francisco, NYC, LA, San Simeon, Budapest, Vienna, Munich and many more.  Brian is part of the re-creation of Ella's 100th B-day Celebration from the Apollo that he performed in last year.  In 2017, the show was re-created at the Aspen Jazz Festival last June, and now they will perform at The Ford Theater in LA on the 24th of September.
More shows to come in November and December so keep tuning in!

2017 is off and running!

Brian is back on tour!  Just back from the Havana Jazz Festival, Brian is just finishing up his new album project featuring Tom Scott, Shelly Berg, Laurence Hobgood, Terry Miller, Larry Dunlap, Andy Fraga Jr. with music by Dillon O'Brian, Livingston Taylor and Nashville legend Gary Nicholson among others.
Brian will be in Tennessee, his native Hawaii in Kona, Palm Springs, LA, San Francisco, Havana and many other places this season.  Check out the schedule page.
Brian will also be hosting his Jam Session on Sundays at The Triple Door Musicquarium starting the 12th of March!

What a Fall Lineup!

Brian is back on tour, has 2 new CD's in production and some cool gigs!
Just back from Havana, Brian has been busy in the studio recording 2 new album projects featuring Tom Scott, Shelly Berg, Laurence Hobgood, Terry Miller, Larry Dunlap, Andy Fraga Jr. with music by Dillon O'Brian, Livingston Taylor and Nashville legend Gary Nicholson among others.
Brian also is on tour and performing all over the US and Europe and will be featured at the Apollo Theater for Ella Fitzgerald's 100th Birthday Celebration and ending the year with the Havana Jazz Festival in December.
When he is town, Brian is hosting his Pro Jazz Jam in Seattle every Monday night at The Triple Door... make sure you check it out!

Havana Nights, Blues, Jazz and the Holidays

Summer has Arrived!

Summer is here and so are a bunch of great shows!  Brian will be in San Francisco, Seattle, Sonoma, Palm Springs, Europe - (Venice, Dubrovnik, and 5 other cites) Ojai, Ellensburg and more being booked now.

Spring is here!

Spring is here and Brian's schedule is as busy as a bee.  Brian has every Wednesday night at his favorite Palm Spring's club, Woody's!  Brian also plays the second Tuesday of the month at Backstreet Bistro and the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at AJ's on the Green with Mikole Kaar.  Brian is getting ready to record a live record at Woody's later this month so stay tuned for the dates!

Fall Tours!

Brian is busy on the road this fall... On September 13th, Brian returns to Sonoma to perform for the Sonoma Valley Jazz Society, then on September 15th, he will be headlining the Indy Jazz Fest at The Jazz Kitchen in Indianapolis.  Then September 21st, Brian will be performing at the Ojai/Libbey Bowl Wine & Jazz Festival along with Tom Scott, Roger Kellaway, Billy Valentine and others.  In October, Brian heads to Sapporo Japan, and Cabo San Lucas to perform as well. Brian has been on the road this summer and recently completed a great tour of the Northwest with his Trio including The Ellensburg 'Jazz in The Valley' Festival as well as his All Star Big Band Tribute to Frank, Ray and Nat at The Triple Door featuring such NW greats as Jay Thomas, Alexi Nicolaev, Tom Marriott, Greg Lyons, Dan Marcus and John Goforth to name a few! Grammy Win!

Arturo Sandoval's 'Dear Diz' won the 2013 Grammy® for Best Jazz Large Ensemble, and Brian is part of that Ensemble, along with Gregg Field, Joey DeFrancesco, Shelly Berg, Gary Burton,  Chuck Berghoffer and many more.  Brian's first Grammy® win.

Brian is on Arturo Sandoval's latest CD which has won 3 Latin Grammys® in 2012 and is nominated for a Grammy for best Jazz Big Band!
Brian is also working on Steve Miller's new Jazz Project and has recorded some cuts with French Rock Icon Michel Polnareff.
He has also started on his new Jazz CD as well as a Hawaiian Music CD.

Summer 2012 Baby!

It's been a great spring heading into fall!  Brian is on Arturo Sandoval's newest release on Concord Records -  'Dear Diz', as well as is finishing up work on Steve Miller's upcoming Jazz Album.  Brian has also been working on his own material for a DVD shoot in Seattle in September at The Triple Door.  He is also on Japanese recording legend Seiko Matsuda's new CD release this year on Concord Records.  
Brian is also busy working on his next CD project, a collection of solo pieces as a homage to his mentor and friend, Joe Pass.  He is heading to Sicily to perform in the 2nd annual Joe Pass Jazz Festival this August.  Check out the the schedule section for more dates and info! 
Brian is also working producing the new CD for Jazz Vocalist Missoni Lanza.  A collection of great standards being sung by the wonderful Miss Lanza.

Summer with Brian Nova

Well it's been a very busy summer with Brian, he's been performing up and down the coast with such artists as Kurt Elling, Tom Scott, Shelly Berg, Gregg Field, Gordon Goodwin, Mark O'Connor, Daniel De Los Reyes, Jim De Julio and many others.
Brian has also been in the studio laying down tracks on Arturo Sandoval's upcoming record as well as Japanese superstar Seiko Matsuda's new album.  
Brian is heading to Sicily on the 20th of August to help inaugurate a street named in Joe Pass' honor and perform there for the event.

Happy New Year!

Well the New Year is here and things are swingin' here into a new year!  Some January Highlights are - Brian will be with Bass great Jim DiJulio at Catalina's Jazz Club in Hollywood on January 25th, and Brian will also be co-fronting the Stover Big Band with a tribute to Sinatra on January 9th in Indian Wells.  You can catch Brian performing Solo every Wednesday night at Cafe' Des Beaux Arts on El Paseo in Palm Desert.  In February, you can catch Brian and Jim Di Julio at The Merc in Temecula on the 10th and many more dates... please check out the Calendar section.  Hope to see you lots in 2011!

Brian is touring the Northwest culminating with his Orchestra performing at The Auction of Washington Wines at Chateau Ste. Michelle on Saturday, August 15th. Brian will be performing Friday, August 14th at The Southport Jazz Cafe' in Renton with his Trio featuring Steve Yusen on Drums and Bob Mathews on Bass. With special guest Stephanie Porter singing with the Trio. Show starts at 7:00pm.
